The Experience Brown Program is a new option ideal for prospective students who are first-time visitors to Brown. This program aims to provide prospective students with the opportunity to get a sense of what it is like to be a student at Brown University by allowing them structured access to classes and one-on-one, non-evaluative contact with a current student. All hosts are members of the Bruin Club and are volunteers.
The Experience Brown Schedule
The Experience Brown schedule is organized around the university's class framework. Experience Brown participants should arrive at the Stephen Roberts '62 Campus Center at one of the two set pick up times depending on the day. On Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, students should arrive at either 10:45am or 11:45am. On Tuesday or Thursday, students should arrive at either 10:15am or 11:45am. This is to check in and meet your host. Once you have signed up, you will receive a confirmation email that specifies which time to arrive at the Campus Center.
Experience Brown is in close communication with both the Campus Tours and Information Sessions Coordinators so as to ensure ample opportunity to attend all of the prospective student events the Bruin Club offers daily.
Spots are extremely limited, so you are encouraged to sign up early. Experience Brown Visits are not used in any way to evaluate prospective students, and visiting will not count for or against students in the admissions process. However, as there are limited numbers of registration openings in the Experience Brown program, we expect a phone call or email if you are unable to make your scheduled visit. Please make all cancellations as soon as possible.
We are now accepting registrations for February through March of 2015.
Registration is required for the Experience Brown program. Please REGISTER HERE. You are not officially registered for Experience Brown until you receive an email indicating your arrival time. We do our best to accomodate all interested students, but we may not be able to accomodate everyone.
Only students who have registered in advance of their visit may participate in Experience Brown. Students visiting with siblings or friends must each register separately for Experience Brown if they wish to also participate in the program.
